The Shop
Precision at Every Stage
Elevation Millwork operates a fully equipped in-house production shop in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Every custom component we produce — from a single crown profile to a complete built-in library — is milled, assembled, and finished under one roof, with direct oversight at every stage.
Working from architect drawings, historic profiles, or samples, our team produces components that meet the tolerances and finish standards that high-end residential construction demands. We don't outsource production. We don't accept substitutions. We deliver what was specified.

What Our Shop Produces
01
Architectural Trim Packages
Crown molding, casing, base, chair rail, picture rail, and panel molding — milled to any profile, in any run length. We produce complete trim packages for new construction and whole-home renovations, coordinated with door and window schedules.

Wainscoting & Wall Paneling
Raised panel, flat panel, board-and-batten, and shiplap systems designed to the room and the architecture. We produce all components in-house and can deliver pre-assembled panel sections for faster installation.

Built-In Cabinetry & Shelving
Libraries, bookcases, window seats, mudroom systems, and entertainment centers built to architectural drawings. We produce face frames, doors, shelving, and all trim components, coordinated with hardware and finish specifications.

Fireplace Surrounds & Mantels
Custom mantel shelves, pilaster surrounds, and full overmantel assemblies designed to the fireplace opening and the room's architectural language. Available in painted MDF, poplar, and select hardwoods.

Window & Door Surrounds
Interior casing assemblies, pilaster surrounds, transom trim, and custom head casings that elevate standard openings to architectural features. Coordinated with our door and window supply for a complete package.

Coffered & Beamed Ceilings
Structural and decorative beam systems, coffered ceiling grids, and tray ceiling trim packages. We produce all components to drawing and can provide installation sequencing documentation for the framing crew.

Materials
Substrates & Finishes
We select substrate and finish based on application, paint schedule, and long-term performance — not cost alone. Every component leaves our shop primed and ready for the painter.
Finger-Jointed Poplar
Our standard substrate for painted trim. Dimensionally stable, takes primer and paint cleanly, and mills to crisp profiles. Specified for the majority of our residential trim packages.
MDF
Used for flat panel components, wainscoting panels, and built-in carcasses where a perfectly smooth painted surface is required. We use moisture-resistant MDF in areas with humidity exposure.
Select Hardwoods
White oak, walnut, maple, and cherry for stained or clear-finished applications. We source kiln-dried, select-grade lumber and can match existing species and grain patterns on renovation projects.
Factory Priming
All painted components leave our shop with a factory-applied primer coat, sanded smooth and ready for finish coats. This eliminates field priming and reduces painter labor on site.
Our Process
From Drawing to Delivery

Specification Review
We review architect drawings, finish schedules, and door/window schedules to develop a complete millwork scope. We identify conflicts and substitution risks before production begins.

Shop Drawings
Our team produces shop drawings for all custom components — profiles, assemblies, and built-ins — for architect and owner review before cutting begins.
03
Production
Components are milled, assembled, and primed in our Chester County shop. Lead times are established at contract and protected through our production scheduling process.
04
Delivery & Support
We deliver to the job site on a coordinated schedule and provide installation documentation. Our team is available throughout the installation phase for field questions and punch-list support.
